2024 Wholehearted Camping

What is Wholehearted Camping?

Unlike our regular programmed camps, wholehearted camping is a more traditional camping experience on the MLGC grounds.

Come and rent a cabin, bring a tent, or bring your RV and stay for as many/little days as you would like. There is no scheduled programming or food service, but you will have access to the whole camp grounds.

Details

Is there a place to cook my own food?

Our cabins are not equipped with kitchens or proper ventilation systems. There is no cooking allowed inside cabins.

There is ample space to cook and BBQ outside your cabins. There are some fire pits available but you may also bring your own. Bundles of wood are available for free.

There are a limited number of fridges inside cabins. Every cabin has power. You will need a cooler or you may bring your own fridge.

There are multiple locations around the camp where water is available. All the water on the grounds is potable.

What activities are available?

Our campground is on lakefront property surrounded by forest. The following options are available to campers at no extra cost:

  • Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards.

  • Trampolines

  • Fishing at the T-Dock. You may bring your own fishing equipment. Licenses are available 5 minutes down the highway.

  • Nature trails for walking and biking

  • Horseshoes, gaga-ball and 9-square

  • We have a sports facility where equipment is available for self-led use.

Can I bring drugs or alcohol with me?

We do not allow any drugs or alcohol to be consumed while you are on the camp grounds. This includes recreational canabis.

Can I have a campfire?

We don't have fire pits available for every cabin/RV site. We do, however, have multiple community campfires around the grounds that will be available for use.

We have complementary firewood available.
