Executive Director Search

MLGC believes an executive director is essential for the future of camp. Come partner with us.

The MLGC Board of Directors is committed to finding a new Executive Director to lead MLGC. We believe that a full-time, paid Executive Director is what camp needs to grow, expand, and accomplish our mission and vision

Matching Grant

An anonymous donor has generally committed to helping MLGC fund an Executive Director position. We believe that this role cannot be a volunteer one as the level of effort is too great.

As our camp fees just cover the basic costs of running a camp, hiring an ED can only be done through donations.

A matching grant has been set up totaling $30,000, for two years (2024, and 2025). Our generous donor will match you, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $30,000.

This means if we are able to raise $30,000, we will have $60,000 to pay an Executive Director.

Is an Executive Director really needed?

It’s true, we have operated camp for many years without an Executive Director, so do we really need one?

We believe the answer is a whole-hearted yes. The amount of effort to put on a season of camp is tremendous. There are a lot of volunteer hours that go into camp that go unseen.

A full-time, paid, Executive Director will be able to devote their time, year-round, to making camp the best it can be.

This includes expanding the number of camps we put on, providing more support to our volunteers, maintaining the highest levels of abuse protection and prevention, freeing up the board of directors to be more future-focused and being a spiritual leader for our future.

Sometimes it feels we just barely get camp off the ground each year; an Executive Director will allow us to build camp into something it has never been before.
