Each week at Moose Lake is unique. We run programs that cater to different age groups and interests. For this reason the board members select qualified directors to oversee one week at a time. Counsellors (cabin leaders) are usually long time Moose Lakers and are hand picked by the Director in order to provide the best possible program. The profiles of the Activities Directors and Speakers can be found on the information pages pertaining to each specific camp.
Full Time Staff:
Registrar: Stacey Bacque
Stacey is our registrar and is looking forward to having her hand in a new role, as this will be her 23rd summer at Moose Lake Gospel Camp. Over the years she has been highly involved with the youth and kids programs we offer. Working at Moose Lake is something she looks forward to each year because of her passion for kid’s & youth ministry.
Camp Director: Jeremy Bacque
Jeremy has been hired as the full-time Camp Director at Moose Lake Gospel Camp this season. This is a new position for the camp and an essential one as we seek to provide continuity from week to week, consistent leadership standards and (a position which things can be bounced off working to build camp). Jeremy and his wife Stacey have been involved as Children’s Camp Directors for the last decade and more recently Senior High Camp as well. They have a heart for leading and discipling children and youth, helping them hear God’s voice and walk in His promises for them. As MLGC transitions from weekly Directors to having Jeremy as the full-time Camp Director, Stacey will continue to serve as a strong supporter of the leadership team, as well as the kitchen and Canteen workers just to name a few. Jeremy and Stacey will have been married for 11 years this September and they have enjoyed embracing different ministry opportunities in that time, both locally and overseas. They are dedicated to their marriage and their young children, Julian, Greyson, and baby Elisia who will join them in the adventure this summer. Jeremy is very excited to lead MLGC into this new season, leading all the children, youth and families into God’s Word and the Holy Spirit, against the beautiful backdrop of Moose Lake.
Facilities Manager: Clayton Mutch
Moose Lake is a special place for Clayton as he has attended Moose lake all his life and has been the manager since 1996. Clayton graduated from Regent College where he received a Masters Degree in Christianity and Culture.
Cooks: Faith & Lea Arin Warkentine.
These women always fill the dining hall with laughter and song as they make the most delicious meals. Faith, as the head cook, has had the most important job at camp since the summer of 2007.
Cliff and Mary Del Mutch:
This couple have volunteered for over thirty years at the camp. Each year Mary Del jokes that it is her last year but she is always the first to arrive and the last to leave. She pretends that Cliff drags her to camp but we know that that is far from the truth. Cliff and Mary Del have served in every position imaginable and they can be spotted playing late night games with the senior teens and in the morning they are the ones cleaning up the mess. Thanks for all your work and dedication.
Nurse: Each week we ensure that a qualified nurse is on the grounds 24 hours a day.
Lifeguard: Aside from Family camps, we have a qualified lifeguard on duty to ensure the protection of our children and youth during all water activities.
Wrangler: Cliff Mutch is responsible for the care of the horses and the instruction to the campers about proper trial riding skills.
